Classic. So there I was, playing the hero, asking for recommendations of photo printing spots in Ottawa. Spoiler: crisis averted, and the spot we visited provided an instant print, yet with high-quality results (their great customer service is a bonus).

Sooter’s Photography’s digital printing services make it easy to submit your images in multiple ways—via email, drop-off at one of their three Ottawa locations, pick-up at your home, or direct upload on their website.
When you choose to upload the photos on their website, you’ll get to pick sizes and even choose between same-day or next-day pick-up. Another thing we liked was their Print to Print service for those old photos that need some love.
We were able to see how they can restore a blurry, ageing photo to look brand new. They’re also keen on film processing, so if you’ve got old negatives or film rolls, you can get those printed in high quality, even in larger formats.
Beyond those, we also learnt about their customisable photo gifts, like mugs, T-shirts, puzzles, and more. Plus, they offer photo books, greeting cards, calendars, and video transfer services—a one-stop shop for all things photo-related.
However, we noticed that their office is quite small, and so it’s a bit crowded at times. Nevertheless, we still like that Sooter’s gives you quality results and multiple options for creating, restoring, and enjoying your photos.

Whether you’re looking to get some passport and photo ID pics, develop your 35mm film, or whip up some instant prints at their in-store kiosks, they’ve got you sorted.
Speaking of kiosks, we tried this and saw how it provides high-quality prints using premium inks and paper, although you have to wait because of its long queue.
In terms of their online services, you can order standard photo prints, enlargements, poster prints, collages, and even canvas wraps and fine wall art. All these can be shipped to your door or picked up in-store—a convenience that most previous clients raved about.
Best of all, shipping is free for orders over $99! The turnaround time is typically 10 business days for photo prints, while 35mm film development might take between two to three weeks. This might seem lengthy, but the quality makes it worthwhile.

What we like most is how accessible their photo printing is—you can send files via email, upload them via their website, or even share them through links like Google Drive or WeTransfer.
Now, we noted that most of their photo prints are done on sturdy 100lb satin cardstock, and you can even ask for a matte finish. As for customer service, their team was friendly and willing to walk us through custom quote options for non-standard orders.
However, a few customers noted that their cutting process isn’t always perfect, with edges occasionally coming out less than clean. Plus, their space can feel cramped because of their popularity.
Despite these, we loved the consistent quality of their prints and the fast turnaround time for most services.
